Entry

Yes. Entry is completely free.
Anyone who brews their own beer. All skill levels welcome.
You can enter multiple beers. Each beer must be registered separately.
Entries will be based on final styles submitted. Final categories may adjust based on entries (e.g. Lager, Sour, Dark, etc).
No, but regional awards (North, South, South West) apply to WA-based entrants.

Dates & Timeline

Entries open 6 April and close 10 May.
Drop-off runs from 27 April – 12 May.
Judging takes place on Saturday 16 May at Phat Brew Club.
Awards Night is Saturday 23 May at Phat Brew Club.

Drop-off & Submission

You can drop off your entry at: Phat Brew Club (West Perth), Margaret River Beer Co., or Campus Brewing. Full drop-off details will be provided after registration.
You must submit a minimum of 1.5 litres per beer. This can be any combination of bottles or cans (e.g. 2 x 750ml).
Bottles or cans are both accepted. They must be sealed, carbonated, and in good condition.
Yes. Each entry must be clearly labelled with your registration details.
Yes — you can arrange for someone else to drop off your entry on your behalf.

Judging

Experienced commercial brewers from Phat Brew Club, Margaret River Beer Co., and Campus Brewing.
Beers are assessed on aroma, flavour, balance, technical execution, and style.
Yes. Every entry receives detailed, constructive feedback.

Awards & Prizes

Grand Champion: Commercial brew of your beer and release across venues in Perth & the South West.
Recognition and prizes across final categories i.e. lager, sour, etc.
Awards for the best entries from: North, South, and South West.
Yes — sponsor-backed prizes plus major exposure.

Commercial Brew

Your beer will be brewed commercially and released on tap (and potentially in cans) across partner venues.
It will be scaled for commercial production while maintaining the core flavour and intent.
Yes — winners are typically involved in the brewing process and promotion.

Event Details

West Perth, near City West Train Station (easy public transport access).
No — judging is closed to ensure consistency.
Yes — details will be released closer to the date, but you can also let us know on the registration form.

Eligibility & Rules

Yes — this is strictly a homebrew competition.
Yes, as long as it's your own brew.
Standard brewing guidelines apply. Any specific restrictions will be communicated during registration.
